| | Message from Principal Hamilton | | I am pleased to share that we are establishing a chapter of the National Junior Honor Society this year. Over the past few months, a faculty council under the leadership of Mr. Purpura has worked to found our chapter, establish its requirements, and recently nominated candidates for membership. We look forward to recognizing students who exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship. | I am also happy to announce our Knights of Virtue for the month of December. These students were selected by their teachers for living the virtue of Temperance, the strength that helps us practice balance and self-control in our choices and use of God’s gifts. | Our MLK Knights in Service Friendship Day is next Monday. We are still looking for parent volunteers from each of the grades. Please click here to learn more and sign up to chaperone your child’s class as we host a special afternoon for adults with special needs. | Parent teacher conferences are February 12th. Homeroom and specials teachers will send an email with the link to sign up. As a reminder, these conferences are mandatory because we believe strongly in the parent -teacher relationship. | In two weeks, we will celebrate Catholic Schools Week, a national celebration of Catholic education. This year’s theme, “Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community,” beautifully reflects our shared mission to nurture faith, learning, and community among students, families, and educators. Please refer to the calendar below for the special dress days. | Thank you for helping make Everest such a joyful and faith-filled community. Please join me in praying for the success of our Open House and WinterFest: | |
Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings,

| | We had 2 home games this week. I am so proud of the hard work I saw the court and the heart with which our teams played! I hope you can come out and support our Knights at our next home game on February 2nd. Your support makes a difference! | | Catholic Schools Week Schedule | | As the weather gets cooler, please remember to send your child to school each day with a coat, hat, and gloves. Our students go outside for recess whenever possible, and we want everyone to stay warm and comfortable while enjoying fresh air and playtime! | | Crouching Tigers Interest Form | We are exploring the possibility of offering a Winter Session of Crouching Tigers Martial Arts at Everest Academy for students age 2-7 interested in building strength, focus, and coordination. The proposed schedule would be one day per week on Wednesdays from 2:30–3:30 p.m., after the regular school day ends. | Please fill out this short form to help us gauge interest. | |

| | → For the repose of the soul of Zivka Mihailovic, wife of Aleks, our Chicago Blast soccer coach who has held practices at our Everest gym for the last 10 years. She loved Everest and all the families here! Zivka truly had a servant's heart and will be missed by so many! | | → For an increase in the virtue of hope: As we begin this new year, may our students grow in the virtue of hope, trusting in God’s promises and His loving plan for their lives. In moments of challenge or uncertainty, help them to look forward with confidence, rooted in faith rather than fear. Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of God, may they learn to place their trust in Christ, finding strength, perseverance, and joy in Him. Holy Spirit, guide our students to live with hopeful hearts, ready to love and serve God and neighbor each day. | | Everest Academy is an independent PK-8th grade Catholic school committed to providing the highest quality education while cultivating the whole human person: intellectually, humanly, spiritually, and apostolically. Our mission is to form Christian leaders who are eager to exercise their leadership with a spirit of joy and service in order to impact culture and transform society. | | | | |
