| | Message from Principal Hamilton | | Happy New Year! I hope your family enjoyed a restful, joyful, and blessed Christmas break. As we begin this new year together, I would like to share a few updates and moments of gratitude from our school community. | As of December, all students in grades K–8 are using SuccessMaker Math, a program designed to support math growth through personalized instruction. During parent-teacher conferences next month, teachers will share reports highlighting your child’s progress and growth using this tool. | In addition, all students in grades 3–8 will receive keyboarding instruction. Our middle school students began in December, and students in grades 3–5 will begin later this month. Learning proper typing skills is an important life skill that will help students work more efficiently and confidently as learners. Please be assured that handwriting instruction remains a priority, and we will continue to teach handwriting and expect students to write neatly. | As a school committed to forming students who make a difference, I would like to sincerely thank you for supporting our Giving Tree service project. We received heartfelt messages of gratitude from the directors of the Lemont food pantries and The Women’s Center for the food and essential items donated for the families they serve. Please join me in extending a special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Paulius for their weekly deliveries to the food pantry, and to the Arreola and Saleh families for delivering stockings and baby supplies to The Women’s Center in Chicago. | Looking ahead, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our teachers and students have been working diligently to prepare a special afternoon of activities for adults with special needs. If you have family members or friends with special needs, we warmly invite you to our Knights in Service Friendship Day on January 19. | As we focus on our new virtue of the month, I am filled with optimism for the remainder of the school year. I look forward to seeing continued growth not only in academic learning, but also in the character, compassion, and faith of our students. | Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support. May this new year be filled with hope and many blessings for your family. | |
Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings,

| | Thank You! Faculty Staff Christmas Fund Donations | | We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the Faculty and Staff Christmas Fund. Your generosity and thoughtfulness meant so much to our teachers and staff and truly reflected the spirit of gratitude and community that makes Everest Academy so special. We are deeply grateful for your support and wish you and your families a blessed Christmas season and a joyful New Year. | | As the weather gets cooler, please remember to send your child to school each day with a coat, hat, and gloves. Our students go outside for recess whenever possible, and we want everyone to stay warm and comfortable while enjoying fresh air and playtime! | | Crouching Tigers Interest Form | We are exploring the possibility of offering a Winter Session of Crouching Tigers Martial Arts at Everest Academy for students age 2-7 interested in building strength, focus, and coordination. The proposed schedule would be one day per week on Wednesdays from 2:30–3:30 p.m., after the regular school day ends. | Please fill out this short form to help us gauge interest. | |

| | → For the repose of the soul of Zivka Mihailovic, wife of Aleks, our Chicago Blast soccer coach who has held practices at our Everest gym for the last 10 years. She loved Everest and all the families here! Zivka truly had a servant's heart and will be missed by so many! | | → For an increase in the virtue of hope: As we begin this new year, may our students grow in the virtue of hope, trusting in God’s promises and His loving plan for their lives. In moments of challenge or uncertainty, help them to look forward with confidence, rooted in faith rather than fear. Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of God, may they learn to place their trust in Christ, finding strength, perseverance, and joy in Him. Holy Spirit, guide our students to live with hopeful hearts, ready to love and serve God and neighbor each day. | | Everest Academy is an independent PK-8th grade Catholic school committed to providing the highest quality education while cultivating the whole human person: intellectually, humanly, spiritually, and apostolically. Our mission is to form Christian leaders who are eager to exercise their leadership with a spirit of joy and service in order to impact culture and transform society. | | | | |
