Message from Principal Hamilton

Dear Everest Parents,

Our big news of the week is that we received recognition as a Cardinal Newman Recommended School. There are only a few schools in the state of Illinois that have this distinction, and we are the first in the Archdiocese of Chicago! I want to thank the faculty and staff for their hard work and commitment to Catholic education, which contributed to our receiving this recognition. Read below to learn more about what this means for Everest or click here.

Thank you to all who attended our Spring Showcase last night. It was a wonderful way for us to highlight the accomplishments of our students! Thank you to Mr. Landowski and Miss Reznicek for your commitment to nurturing the talents of our students and fostering a love for the arts.

Tomorrow at our All-School Mass, we will be recognizing our amazing volunteers! Next week, we will be featuring more student talent at the annual Talent Show hosted by our 8th grade class. We hope that you can join us next Friday, May 29 at 1:00pm for the event that will be sure to entertain!

As we quickly approach the end of the school year, we look back with immense gratitude for all the ways our community has grown, laughed, and learned together. We are so excited to celebrate these final weeks with you and finish the year strong!

Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings,

Candy Hamilton

Principal Pics

Thank you to Grace and Francesca for being awesome principals for the day! And here are some of my favorite shots from last night’s Spring Showcase.

Our second graders are celebrating a very special milestone in faith with their beautiful First Holy Communion Recognition shirts! ✨

The front of each shirt features a meaningful Eucharistic design, while the back proudly displays the names of every student in the class of Ms. Stephanie DeRoche. Current second grader Giuliana Gubala is pictured modeling the shirt with pride!

What a wonderful keepsake to remember such a meaningful moment in their faith journey. 💚🙏

🎉 We are thrilled to share that Everest Academy has officially been recognized as a Newman Guide Recommended School! ✨📚✝️

This prestigious recognition highlights Everest Academy’s commitment to academic excellence and authentic Catholic formation. We are honored to join a distinguished network of faithful Catholic schools across the nation dedicated to forming both the minds and hearts of students. 💚

This achievement is a reflection of our incredible parents, students, faculty, staff, and community who help make Everest such a special place each day. We are grateful for this affirmation that our Catholic faith continues to guide all that we do as we strive to help students grow in wisdom, virtue, and holiness. 🙏⚔️

🌼 Congratulations to our 1st Grade Daisy Girl Scout Troop 76179 on earning the God Is Love Medal and the 2nd Year My Promise, My Faith Pin! 🌼

These special awards recognize the girls’ growing faith, understanding of God’s love, and commitment to living out the values of the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Through the Archdiocesan Office of Lifelong Formation Youth Medal Program, the scouts learned that God created, cares for, and loves each of us, while also discovering ways to share that love with others in their daily lives.

A special thank you to Fr. Andrew for blessing and presenting the awards following the girls’ Class Mass on May 6, and to Miss Michniak for allowing her class to take part in this meaningful celebration.

Award recipients include Helena Bleka, Nora Coffey, Leah Lamas, Evelyn Lukaszcyk, Jacquelin Saleh, and Logan Skowronski.

Thank you as well to Faith Moderators Monique Skowronski and Betty Slad for guiding the girls throughout this journey of faith and friendship! ✝️💚
