| | Message from Principal Hamilton | What a blessing it was to celebrate our grandparents last Friday at Grandparents Day. As our school theme from Psalm 126:3 reminds us: “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” That joy was beautifully alive as we gave thanks for our grandparents, whose faith, love, and example have helped to make so many “great things” possible. | Pilgrim Queen of the Family - At this week’s All-School Mass, we will again send home the Pilgrim Queen of the Family with one student from each class. This traveling shrine of Our Lady invites families to welcome Mary into their homes for a week of prayer. Families are encouraged to pray the Rosary together, offering intentions for our school, the Church, vocations, and those in need. Through this simple yet powerful devotion, we hope to strengthen our life of faith and bring the grace of Mary’s presence into our daily lives. Thank you for helping us say “yes” to Our Lady’s invitation to pray together as a school family. | All Souls Remembrance - On November 7, we will celebrate a Mass of Remembrance & Thanksgiving for deceased members of the school community who helped build our school. At this time, we will also remember those who have died in the past year. If you would like your loved one to be remembered during the Mass, please send their name to info@everestlemont.com. | Veteran’s Tribute - On November 14, we will honor our veterans at our All-School Mass with a special blessing. Please invite any veterans among your family and friends. Also, we would like to recognize family and friends of our Everest community who have served in the armed forces. Please send a picture, military branch, and relation to info@everestlemont.com (e.g., John Doe, Army, uncle of Mary Doe, 4th Grade). | Go, Lady Knights! Congratulations to our 7th/8th-grade volleyball team on last weekend’s victories! Come cheer them on this Saturday, October 25 at 12:15 p.m. at Joliet Catholic High School. Queen of Victory, pray for us! | Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings, | | May God bless our grandparents - for their prayers, for their faith, and for the love that continues to bless our students and our school. | | As the weather gets cooler, please remember to send your child to school each day with a coat, hat, and gloves. Our students go outside for recess whenever possible, and we want everyone to stay warm and comfortable while enjoying fresh air and playtime! | | 📣 Call for Wine Donations! 🍷 | | Dear Parents, we are seeking donations for bottles of wine for the Gala. Please drop off at the front office. Thank you! | | 🍸 Step Into the Roaring Twenties! ✨ | The Everest Academy Gala will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Crystal Grand in Lemont. Get creative and have fun dressing the part for this glamorous evening. | | 🎟️ Purchase Your Gala Tickets & Sponsorships | | Registration Open: Boys 5th-7th Basketball | | All students must have a current sports physical in order to practice/play in the games! | | → Many thanks to Mr. Thompson and Mr. Hacek for helping us with putting up and taking down the stage for Grandparents Day! | → Thank you to the Lemont Fire Department for coming out to speak to our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students about fire safety and providing a tour of their fire engine. | | Thank you to the Lemont Fire Department for visiting Everest and teaching our students all about fire safety!
