SPONSORSHIPS-MALINDI KIDS

Thanks to our current sponsors- we are honored to have been able to continue our sponsorship program for students who we care for full time. The vary in age from almost 4 years old to college age. However, we need more help. Your sponsorship provides for the salaries of staff, education, healthcare, food and a safe environment. $35 per month, you can help us provide these children with the care and support they need to thrive.

Join us in impacting the lives of these children and making a difference in their future.

SPONSOR A MALINDI KID

If you have a preference on the age or gender of a child please let us know and we can work to connect you with the right child.

Our indigenous sponsorship staff is compiled of 2 full-time and 3 part-time members work tirelessly to create a nurturing environment for our 22 students. From our dedicated House Mom overseeing daily operations & food budget to our diligent Student Services Coordinator managing the operational budget and medical and school needs, each team member plays a crucial role. Our Child Advocate Activist provides essential guidance to our high school and college students in western Kenya, ensuring their success. With a part-time administrator and house helper supporting the team, we are grateful for their unwavering dedication and support in shaping a bright future for our students.

NEXT STEPS IN EDUCATION

FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE is almost complete for these 2 young ladies! They continue to be pioneers for our sponsored students showing the way to being healthy young adults! It has been a year of firsts for all of us navigating the college system in Kenya! Each one has 2 years remaining in their college life and is loving their chosen career path. Anna in mortuary sciences and Salma in Community Nursing with a focus on Midwifery. Anna studies online each day and sometimes attending online until after midnight. She travels cross country at the end of each term to take her practical exams and is also interning at the Malindi mortuary. She rides her bicycle to meet her responsibilities. Salma lives near her campus in a one room apartment in Kilifi where she budgets her monthly expenses, cooks for herself, and attends more traditional "in person" classes. She is beginning her practical community service rotations in the outside community.

EACH NEW SCHOOL YEAR NEEDS CAKE!

THESE 2 YOUNG MEN BEGIN COLLEGE LIFE IN 6 WEEKS!

Like the 2 young ladies, these guys are the first in their family to complete high school and will be the first to go on to pursue a degree. Since they finished high school in December, they have spent the last several months in computer classes and learning the value of budgeting. We have spent a lot of time mentoring and counseling as they choose their next step. We are so encouraged that each one of the students that we support have a desire to give back to their community and help others who are coming behind them to be successful! Dennis will be pursuing a degree in sociology with a minor in agriculture while Kelvin will be studying criminal investigation with plans to join the Kenya Defense Forces upon his completion.

AND, we need your help! We are thrilled to say that we are currently funded at 100% for the girls but only 17% of the boys for their monthly cost. As September approaches, and they prepare for their college journey the financial burden of tuition, housing, and textbooks can be overwhelming. That's why we're calling on individuals to invest in the future by supporting these 2 trailblazing young men! By providing funding, you can make a significant impact on their ability to succeed academically and achieve their goals. Join us in empowering the next generation of leaders.

Each student needs $210 per month to complete their degree programs in college, and we are looking for donors to complete their year of college with another $175 per month each or a one-time gift for the year of $2100 each.

EMPOWERING VULNERABLE FAMILIES

3 POULTRY PROJECT INITIATIVES ARE UNDERWAY

Our poultry project initiative has taken flight empowering families with 3 successful projects launched since January. These projects are not just about the 1200 chickens, they are about changing lives and empowering families. One project is dedicated to funding education for under resourced families by supporting a primary school! We look forward to spreading our wings as we launch an additional project later this year!

INSPIRING SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

Spreading the Word!

Through generous donors we have been able to distribute 580 Bibles since April to Jesus followers in Kenya with an additional 670 being delivered by Mid-October.

These Bible deliveries are reaching across denominational barriers bringing pastors, believers, and leaders together who may differ in theological technicalities but have Jesus in common. It is remarkable! Stories of a pastor who had been borrowing a new testament (given by the Gideons) from one of his church members on Friday so that he could prepare his message on Sunday and then returning that new testament on Sunday afternoon received his very first Bible. Bible school students (in discipleship training school) receiving Bibles. Widows who have been borrowing a Bible, former Muslims who came to Christ a few years ago receiving their very own Bibles and youth who are in our Bible study groups!

ENRICHING EDUCATION

In 2003, primary school education in Kenya became accessible to all students, marking a significant moment towards hope for families stuck in the cycle of poverty. However, the sudden and overwhelming surge in students who were flooding through the doors overwhelmed the limited resources, leaving many children sitting on the floor with rocks as chairs and desks.

Every Life’s commitment to making a difference in communities has led us to build 2600 school desks over the years, ensuring that students have a better learning environment, offering not just a physical place to sit but a symbol of hope and dignity for them. Fast forward 20 years, and the struggle continues as schools still lack basic necessities for a conducive learning environment. And there are still thousands of students waiting for a seat off the floor!

We have a team heading to Kenya in 2 weeks! Join us in this mission to be a part of meaningful change enriching education one seat at a time and elevating kids from sitting on a rock to sitting on a desk that rocks!
