2026 has been the most active petitioning year that I can remember in Genesee County. Thank you to everyone who is gathering signatures!

The Pembroke and Darien Democratic Committees are hosting one more petitioning event this coming Saturday at Buttercrumbs Bakery in Corfu. If you haven't yet signed, come on by to add your signature, enjoy lunch and take home a treat from the bakery.

Petition Carriers: We need all petitions returned by Monday, 3/23

Ways to return your completed petitions:

• Bring signed petitions to Buttercrumbs this Saturday
• OR: Nikki Calhoun and I will be at the Tim Hortons in Batavia on Monday, the 23rd, from 6 to 8 PM. The address is 20 Main Street, Batavia, near the Wendy's and across from the County Building.
• OR: Hand deliver signed petitions to the Genesee County Board of Elections office by 4 pm on Monday, March 23.

If none of those options work for your schedule, contact the Petition Coordinators:

• Eastern Genesee: Nikki Calhoun for Bergen, LeRoy, Pavilion
• Middle Genesee: Loren Penman and Stephanie Thung for Batavia, Byron, Elba, Bethany
• Western Genesee: Michael Plitt for Oakfield, Alabama, Alexander, Darien, and Pembroke

I sincerely appreciate all the time and effort GCDC volunteers are giving in our mission to get Democrats on the November ballot and truly give voters a choice. Too many times in the past, the other party had no opposition. Let's stop that now!

The New York State Democratic Rural Conference is holding its annual conference on May 1 and 2 at the Hilton in Saratoga Springs. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with our statewide Democratic elected officials.
