COVID-19 Vaccine Awareness March 22, 2021
Every Shot Counts!
As COVID-19 vaccines continue to become available to more and more Californians, we want to help you stay safe and well-informed. Below are some resources to help you spread awareness of vaccine safety, efficacy, and continued prevention strategies against COVID-19 to your Head Start families and communities.
Resource of the week

COVID-19 Vaccine Awareness Toolkit

Developed by the CDC, this toolkit contains ready-made materials that can be used to build confidence about COVID-19 vaccination among your staff. Browse this page to find downloadable posters, stickers, social media posts, videos and more.

Posters that you can download, print, and hang in common areas to foster conversation and make vaccination visible.

Printable stickers for staff to wear once they’ve gotten their vaccine. (1 2/3” inch stickers, 24 per page). Compatible with full-sheet sticker paper or standard precut 1 2/3” labels.

Sample Facebook, Twitter and Instagram messages with graphics with key vaccine messages, like "COVID-19 vaccines will not give you COVID-19."
CDC Survey for Child Care Workers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conducting a national survey to learn about attitudes and behaviors regarding COVID-19 vaccination among staff working in child care and early childhood education programs. The survey should take only 5–10 minutes to complete. Please help the Office of Head Start and the CDC to gather this important data no later than March 31, 2021 by encouraging your staff to take it now. Take the survey.
