May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17)
One of the basic needs of a human being is to be loved. Elizabeth Barrett Browning wrote to her husband Robert Browning the infamous sonnet, "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways." Many songs have been sung about love such as "Love Makes the World Go Round" and "What the World Needs Now is Love, Sweet Love."
Reading poetry, singing songs, and giving candy or flowers to those we love are all fine gestures. However, the best gesture is showing love to others by sharing Jesus Christ with them. Pray with them and praise God with them.
Be a friend by telling a friend about a friend. If you really love someone, introduce that person to Jesus Christ so that person can be saved just as you are.
