Copley Society of Art presents National Exhibition: Exuberance Released, a national, juried show open to any United States artist. Like the title describes, this show celebrates the exuberance of daily life. Artists submitted works in figurative and abstract forms, in many different mediums. "Whether it be the warm sun breaking through the clouds or the unbridled enthusiasm of running through a summer shower, this exhibition aspires to reflect the exuberance found in every corner of life," according to a curatorial statement. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday and Monday by appointment. Copley Society of Art is located at 158 Newbury St., Boston MA. What's Cooking? at Studio Place Arts

Studio Place Arts presents What's Cooking?, a show featuring over 25 artists who examine "our lives at the kitchen counter, stove and the dining room." Our relationship to food and the everyday moments that surround it are some of the most well-loved yet most overlooked parts of our lives. These artists put those moments at the forefront. Visitors are asked to bring shelf-stable food items that will be donated to Vermont-based non-profit Capstone Community Action. The gallery is open Wednesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Studio Place Arts is located at 201 N Main Street, Barre, VT. Colby Museum of Art presents Easton Johnson and Maine, the work of Maine painter Easton Johnson who rose to prominence in the 19th century by painting scenes from everyday life. This show focuses on Johnson's work in his home state and unites "the artist’s paintings of domestic scenes, barn interiors, woodcutters, and the annual rite of maple sugaring, which collectively illuminate agrarian life in the years during and after the Civil War," according to a curatorial statement. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. Colby Museum of Art is located at 5600 Mayflower Hill, Waterville, ME.
