Because restrictions required that we change to an online-only ticketing system to accommodate social distancing and contact tracing, we are currently unable to accept CineBucks for ticket purchases, but we will happily take them at our concession counter.
We appreciate your patience as we work towards a way to resume the use of CineBucks for ticket purchases. Rest assured that they do not have an expiration date and that we will be accepting them again once we are able to figure out the many details involved.

MASKS ENCOURAGED.
Masks or face coverings are optional. Now that mandates have lifted in Oregon, though we prefer that you wear a mask until you are safely seated in your auditorium, Salem Cinema welcomes you to decide whether you want to wear a mask or not. Our staff is choosing to continue to wear masks for the time being, but we support your decision to do what is best for your safety and the safety of our customers and staff.
Ticket sales will continue to be online as we will plan to keep a gap seat between parties in all auditoriums – this social-distancing feature is automated by our ticketing system. Of course, our enhanced cleaning procedures will remain in place and hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the building. See you at the movies!

EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE, an incredibly fun movie bursting with creativity, is a spectacular vision of the infinite!
"A dazzlingly kaleidoscopic adventure that is genuinely thrilling and often hilarious, with sensational martial arts fights in an always-astounding array of settings, with a roller coaster of surprising twists and turns that hold up on repeated viewings." - Nell Minow, Movie Mom
More audaciously expansive, adventurous and wildly unique than even its title suggests, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE is the cinematic experience audiences have been craving! Michelle Yeoh gives the performance of a lifetime as an exhausted Chinese American woman who just can't seem to finish her taxes. When an interdimensional rupture unravels reality, she must channel her newfound powers to fight bizarre and bewildering dangers as the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels (SWISS ARMY MAN), the film is a hilarious and big-hearted multiverse action-adventure with a dizzying energy and a bonkers imagination. Completely over-the-top zany, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE is begging to be revisited again and again, delivering an unusually moving, heartwarming and profound message at its core. It's simply astonishing in every imaginable and unimaginable way.

An exemplary and vivid character study, MOTHERING SUNDAY is an intoxicating, beautifully crafted romance.
"A really good, solid film for the people who love Downton Abbey and who maybe want to see it with a bit of a kick." - Amy Nicholson, NPR Los Angeles
"A thoughtful and deeply affecting meditation on the loneliness of the lifelong writer." - Kevin Maher, Times UK
Shimmering with confident filmmaking and daring performances, MOTHERING SUNDAY is a small but brilliant look at class divides – their destruction and their triumphs. On a warm spring day in 1924, house maid and foundling Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) finds herself alone on Mother's Day. Her employers, Mr. and Mrs. Niven (Colin Firth and Olivia Colman), are out and she has the rare chance to spend quality time with her secret lover. Paul (Josh O'Connor) is the boy from the manor house nearby, Jane's long-term love despite the fact that he's engaged to be married to another woman. But events that neither can foresee will change the course of Jane's life forever. Finding the delicacy – and sometimes the devil – in the details, this poetic drama is a thoughtful exploration of love, grief and the pursuit of self-fulfillment.

A tasty romantic tale, ALL THE OLD KNIVES is an enthralling espionage thriller with excellent performances from Chris Pine and Thandie Newton.
"Mixing glossy, Sirkian melodrama with the chilly espionage of a John le Carré novel, Metz taps into the human component which allows the narrative to take flight." - Nicholas Bell, ION Cinema
A throwback to films dabbling in romance yet relishing havoc, with a flavor similar to Hitchcock's espionage thrillers, ALL THE OLD KNIVES is a tale of double agents and compromised romantic liaisons. When the CIA discovers one of its agents leaked information that cost more than 100 people their lives, veteran operative Henry Pelham (Chris Pine) is assigned to root out the mole from among his former officemates at the agency's Vienna station. His investigation takes him from Austria to England to California, where he is reunited with his one-time colleague and ex-lover Celia Harrison (Thandie Newton). The pair are forced to blur the lines between profession and passion in this riveting tale of moral ambiguity and deadly betrayal. It is a stellar contemporaneous update on a familiar tune with the clandestine shapeshifting landscape of the war on terror forever looming in the background.

OSCAR WINNER! Best Picture
Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay
Putting a spotlight on the deaf community, CODA is perfection from start to finish with its universal but unique story. Seventeen-year-old Ruby (Emilia Jones) is the sole hearing member of a deaf family – a CODA, child of deaf adults. Her life revolves around acting as interpreter for her parents (Marlee Matlin, Oscar Winner Troy Kotsur) and working on the family's struggling fishing boat every day before school with her father and older brother (Daniel Durant). But when Ruby joins her high school's choir club, she discovers a gift for singing and soon finds herself drawn to her duet partner Miles (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo). Encouraged by her enthusiastic, tough-love choirmaster (Eugenio Derbez) to apply to a prestigious music school, Ruby finds herself torn between the obligations she feels to her family and the pursuit of her own dreams. A charming crowd pleaser, CODA is so appealing in its feisty quirkiness and family warmth that it is the kind of film you will want to revisit over and over again!

From visionary director Robert Eggers comes THE NORTHMAN, an action-filled epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father’s murder!
"The Northman is spectacular. It’s surprisingly Eggers’ most accessible film, but no less immersive in its authentic feel. It’s a gripping revenge story that keeps its hand around your throat." - Eric Eisenberg, Cinemablend
One of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year, THE NORTHMAN, from writer-director Robert Eggers (THE WITCH, THE LIGHTHOUSE), tells a Viking revenge story based on the same Scandinavian folk tale that inspired Shakespeare’s Hamlet. After young Amleth witnesses his father being murdered by his uncle Fjölnir, the Viking prince escapes his homeland and vows to seek revenge and justice for his deceased father. Brutal, audacious and staggeringly beautiful, this ferocious and cinematic work of art is the perfect merger of otherworldly Norse mythology and bloodthirsty, powerful Viking history. It is an immersive, epic masterpiece meant for the big screen! The star-studded cast includes Ethan Hawke, Nicole Kidman, Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe, Claes Bang, Björk and Alexander Skarsgard – who is an absolute beast as the grown Amleth.
