WE WORSHIP AND ADORE HIM…

Worship of our God is an essential part of our life in Christ. Worship is the act of attributing to God all that He is: Holy, Pure, Just, All-powerful, Loving and Sovereign. Psalm 29:1,2 exhorts, “Ascribe to the Lord, sons of the mighty, Ascribe to the Lord, glory and strength, Ascribe to the Lord, the glory due His name, Worship the Lord in holy attire.”

At First Christian Church we value heart-felt personal and corporate worship, expressing our love for, praise of and submission to the triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). We teach spending time with God, individually, to worship Him through the Word and prayer and beseeching Him for guidance in our lives. We teach coming together as His body to lift up and magnify His Name as the One and only True God. Worship is laying aside oneself and all else to recognize God. Worship is our statement that only God deserves all honor, glory, and praise. We participate in worship to express our devotion wholly and solely to Him in word and deed…come, let us worship Him!

Shalom,

Mike W.

WHAT WE BELIEVE...First Christian Church The Dalles is not affiliated with a denomination, instead choosing to be overseen by a team of elders. We consider the Bible to be the words of God, thus being incapable of error. As we seek a unified practice of our faith, we follow the teachings of the New Testament. We share communion each Sunday and follow the Biblical pattern for conversion. We support any who have accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord through belief, public confession of faith, baptism by immersion and continual obedience to Biblical standards of living. We hold firmly to essential doctrines but celebrate freedom in non-essentials as we seek to love God, love people, and make disciples who follow Jesus.
