Quiet Oaks Newsletter April 2021
2020 was a tough year for everyone, but out of it came many blessings.
The biggest blessing was the overwhelming support from
volunteers, community sponsors and continued donations.
Quiet Oaks could not fulfill our mission without each and everyone of you!
With that said, we're designating 2021 as our "Better Together" year,
making a difference in our community...TOGETHER!
Heartfelt Gratitude
A very special and heartfelt THANK YOU to Jim (and Betsy) Paetznick for the gift given to Quiet Oaks after his Estate Sale!

He donated the money he made to the Compassionate Care fund! The generosity is overwhelming!

Thank you, Jim (and Betsy)!

Join us in celebrating our front
line care team by donating to our
Compassionate Care Fund in honor
of Nurses Appreciation Week.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to
support care of our residents.
"Give generously for what comes next."

Easter Shenanigans
Quiet Oaks was blessed with some Easter egg coloring and a visit from the Easter Bunny! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Art Wall
The April Art Wall is courtesy of Alice Rueter. Her paintings were inspired by the photos she took on her travels with her husband after retiring. She hopes you enjoy the paintings! Thank you Alice, they are beautiful!

Hometown: St. Cloud

Family: Kate, my beautiful wife (deceased), two wonderful daughters Angie and Becky, 4 grandkids. I also have a large extended family of siblings and nieces and nephews. A special thanks to sister Lisa who volunteers with me here. I couldn’t do it without her.

Why I volunteer at QO: My father and friend Richard, Dick, spent his final days here. I was so taken aback at the compassion and kindness here that I wanted to give back. QO helped us care for dad’s last days when we needed help most.

Hobbies: anything to do with food! Growing, gardening, eating, cooking, getting together with family and friends for a meal. I like being outdoors besides gardening, I like walking, biking, fishing, x-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Family: I have 4 amazing grown "kids" , 2 sons and 2 daughters, ranging in age from 27 to 31. My sons are married and I have one grandson with a grandson on the way. My youngest daughter is engaged.

Why I volunteer at QO: My father died here 2 years ago and the care was amazing! My brother, Roger Fritz, wanted to be a part of this amazing team.
Although we're limiting people in the house right now, please don't hesitate to fill out a volunteer application. We have begun to resume some limited attendance volunteer orientations and would be happy to get you on board! #BetterTogether
