Dear Shir Chadash Community,

We are delighted to share our plans for what will surely be a unique and memorable High Holydays season. To provide a safe and meaningful experience for our community during these unprecedented times, we will be broadcasting services online. Please read below for all of the details. We wish you a sweet, happy, and healthy 5781.
Service Schedule

Our streamed services will be available on Zoom across Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Simchat Torah.

Holding Minyan

In order to fulfill our halachic obligations and keep key prayers in their traditional format, we require a small holding minyan for each service – a group of at least 10 adult Jews to be physically present in the same space. We are asking for volunteers to perform the mitzvah of attending a holding minyan. Requests are due to the office by September 10th.

You can find more information about the holding minyan at the links below:

Other Holydays Events

We will be offering multiple other meaningful events throughout the High Holydays season. These events range from learning opportunities to programming for all ages.

High Holydays Gift Bag

Shir Chadash has prepared gift bags for our local members and associate members to celebrate the coming High Holydays. We are loaning every household a Machzor (prayer book) and each bag will also contain the Yizkor book, the High Holydays schedule of services, and a few goodies.

We kindly ask you to return the Machzor (prayer book) after Simchat Torah (October 11).
High Holydays Greetings

As part of our virtual High Holydays services we are offering the opportunity to submit your own High Holydays greeting! Send us a picture and what you would like to say (be brief!) and we will compile everything into a slide show that will run online between to our High Holydays services.

All submissions must be in by Friday, September 4th and the suggested donation is $36.
