Dear Eunah,
You may have seen in the news that rebel militia have entered the city of Goma in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. This is a rapidly evolving situation so I will not attempt to provide specifics. Our main office for Gorilla Doctors’ Congolese operations is based in Goma and is now closed.
Our Goma-based colleagues and their families are currently sheltering in their homes and are safe as of 12:00PM Pacific Standard Time, 28 January when we last communicated with them.
