A Message from Experience Prince George’s President & CEO

Happy New Year Everyone!
It’s 2022 and it’s time for a reset.
First, we would like to applaud you for your hard work, dedication and optimism. Over the past couple of years, we’ve encountered many highs and lows. We witnessed the impacts and changes in the tourism and hospitality industry, and to various businesses while changing courses to stay afloat.
Nevertheless, we sailed along like a vessel at sea. We learned to navigate and make our way through the choppy waters with all hands on deck.
And, it’s this all hands on deck approach that will allow us to realign and reset!
It is our ability to stay strong and committed to the passions within tourism and hospitality that have taken us to exhilarating heights and rewarding outcomes.
Now, let’s apply what we’ve learned and channel these lessons into bigger and brighter opportunities for each sector in our industry.
In 2022, let us see how we can collaborate, partner, and advance our visions into shaping Prince George’s County into one of the most dynamic destinations amongst the Mid-Atlantic region and the entire east coast.
Ready. Reset. Go!
Your tourism and hospitality champion,
Leslie W. Graves

What are the latest trends in the hospitality industry? It goes without saying that the pandemic and ensuing economic downturn greater than the 2008 recession and chaos caused by fluctuation in demand have had a significant impact on hospitality throughout 2020 and 2021 - no doubt with lingering effects. Some innovative responses to this extraordinary situation like attempting to entice patrons back into food and beverage outlets and assure holidaygoers that it is indeed safe to enjoy a hotel stay, have accelerated existing hospitality industry trends and triggered lasting change.
