A Message from Experience Prince George’s CEO Leslie W. Graves:

“Never Be Limited by Other People’s Limited Imaginations” –Dr. Mae Jemison
This quote made me pause and reflect on the past 11 months and the various ways in which the tourism and hospitality industry was disrupted. Across the board, businesses found their way. Some learned how to go virtual; some increased their digital presence; and some kept the ball rolling whichever way services could continue.
We shifted with the current in order to keep one another afloat and the beat hasn’t stopped.
Prince George’s County-based hotels can now apply for relief through the Hotel Resiliency Relief Fund to promote sustainability and resiliency, and restaurants are open again for indoor dining and great Super Bowl eats.
The arts and entertainment sector is keeping us busy during Black History Month with virtual experiences through art, dance, and music. Our libraries have books on hand by local Black authors and retailers are keeping things jazzy and fresh!
Ultimately, tourism partners, we are in it to win it! Continue using your imaginations to the fullest to boost your brand, your products, and your business. There’s no limit to what you can do!
Your tourism and hospitality champion,
Leslie W. Graves
