A Message from Experience Prince George’s CEO Leslie W. Graves:
|
March is Women’s History Month!
Long before we dined around town, or booked overnight stays, many of us dined and slept at a relative’s, or friend’s house whenever we traveled.
These hospitable gestures – often a loving invite from a mother or grandmother – trickled into the hospitality and tourism industry turning natural born hostesses into business owners, event planners and hoteliers, bed & breakfast operators, caterers, and chefs.
Women have been making moves and shaking up the industry for decades one way or another. This month we turn the spotlight on some of the leaders, entrepreneurs and personalities creating an impact.
Our team is also tickled pink about the National Cherry Blossom Festival and the warm weather activities leading into spring.
Stay uplifted through the digital arts and culture scene where a selection of programs and activities are ongoing.
Remember to buy local: boutiques, restaurants, stores, bakeries, and other small businesses are counting on us.
Prince Georgians, we’ve come a long way. Let us continue to blossom together.
Your tourism and hospitality champion,
Leslie W. Graves
