,  invest in your professional leadership and attend  Lean Leadership: Principles, Systems & Behaviors in Action a two-day workshop at the Pyle Center on the UW Madison campus May 22-23, 2019.  Click for additional workshop and registration information.

This 2-day interactive workshop will provide participants with the systems and tools to implement the 10 Lean leadership principles for operational excellence. Participants will learn each principle and how to bring them to life with practical systems and tools.

The instructor will introduce each Lean system with real life examples, how-to guides, and behavioral assessment tools. Participants will start developing skills through hands-on applications. Lean systems taught during the workshop will include the daily engagement system, strategy deployment, A3 thinking, Leader standard work and improvement/coaching Kata.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will use their new Lean leadership knowledge to create their personal improvement A3 and to plan their next steps to act their way into a new way of thinking.


Didier Rabino has 25 years of Lean experience and provides Sensei services guiding the Lean transformation of major organizations in addition to facilitation of continuous improvement training events.
Previously, Didier spent 8 years at Andersen Corporation as plant manager in Menomonie, WI and as the leader of the Lean Promotion Office to develop and deploy the Andersen Manufacturing System (AMS.) Didier also worked 13 years at Steelcase in England, France and Michigan. He held several leadership positions in operations, R&D and logistics. He is one of the architects of the Steelcase Production System (SPS.) Over the past 25 years, Didier has been leading and supporting lean transformations and new process implementations in manufacturing and healthcare organizations, including with his consulting company, Lean Management Systems.

The Principles of Performance Excellence: Baldrige 101 workshops are held each quarter around Wisconsin. Register for the workshop on July 18 in River Falls. The final  2019 workshop will be held  October 30 in the Pewaukee area.
