Proper disposal of medications is one important way we can prevent misuse of medications and prevent opioid addiction. Our community has done an awesome job of properly disposing of un-needed medications! There are usually two National Drug Take-Back Days per year where the public is reminded to clean out their medicine cabinet. This year the April 25th National Take-Back Day has been cancelled. With the current order to stay at home, the public is encouraged to dispose of medications by mixing medications with coffee grounds, kitty litter, or dirt, and then sealing it in a bag before disposing of medications in your trash. There are also some medications that are recommended to be flushed.   See more information here.
