Weekly there are a series of random questions from members of the community. Below are some received this week and the answers. Anyone in the area that works as a stone mason on flagstone or chimneys? Higginsville Brick and Tile Company has many masons they work with. They've been in the resale of masonry for over 100 years. It is family owned and operated. Individual names listed: Chris Carlisle, Ross Distefano, Bryan Lester, Mitch Dolt, Ryan Lynch, and Damon Pind Is there anyone in the surrounding areas that offers any kind of football lessons for kids? There are a few in Kansas City, including 68 Inside Sports. Someone asked about purchasing fireworks for New Year's Eve and there were several places mentioned, which might be good to remember for next year! VFW in Lawson Trailer on corner of 69 Hwy and D Hwy in Lawson next to Hughes gas station World's of Fun has a fireworks display at midnight! Do they still do a driving test at the church on Wednesdays? Yes, at the Excelsior Springs Baptist Church, 1500 Rosalea Street. Doors open at 9:00am and the last testing is about 3:20pm. They are open until 4:00pm for questions, but not testing. It was also announced that the City Recycling Center has a bin for Christmas trees!
