With 17,500+ members, we have a wealth of talent, passion, dedication, inspiration, and enthusiasm all around us ... let's share the stories of those great people with others!

We need you to send us information about these members among us, so we can feature them

Do you know a club member that has been with Exchange for 50+ years? How about your "best" new club member? Does your club president deserve recognition?  If so, we'd really like to hear from you!

Simply email [email protected] with the following nominee information (and a photo!):
  • Name
  • Club name
  • Nominated (your name)

 Plan Now for
Child Abuse Prevention Month (April)

Start planning now to make April 2019, Child Abuse Prevention Month, the best one yet! This is a great time to partner with a local Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center in projects that support children and families, and expand efforts in communities to raise awareness about the prevention of child abuse.

Exchange Clubs should consider proclamations for the prevention of child abuse and/or public awareness campaigns. Organize a blue ribbon or blue pinwheel display in a prominent location in the community. Start a Blue Mondays challenge within your Exchange Club District. And, of course, utilize components of Exchange's Believe in the Blue campaign.

Your club will soon receive Believe in the Blue resources from National Headquarters that can be distributed throughout the community to strengthen families, keep children safe, and share the work of Exchange!

For more information about Exchange's National Project, the prevention of child abuse, visit NationalExchangeClub.org/cap.

 #ExchangeCares

and Prevention of Child Abuse news

The National Exchange Club is introducing a new project for Child Abuse Prevention Month, April 2019, appropriately called #ExchangeCares. The goal is to supply items that will provide comfort, or items of necessity, to children who have been displaced due to neglect or abuse, house fires,
homelessness, or natural disasters.

The bags are given to agencies that come in contact with children in emergency situations, such as shelters, child protective services, resource centers, sheriff/police departments, EMTs, emergency rooms/centers, the American Red Cross, and schools.

Suggestions for items to be placed in bags include a small blanket, a small stuffed animal, a book, a toy, gloves and/or a winter hat, socks, and travel-sized toiletries; toothbrush, comb, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

A sample bag, minus the inside contents, will be included in each Believe in the Blue Kit. Fifty additional bags will be provided to any Exchange Club or Exchange Club Child Abuse Prevention Center that wishes to start an "Exchange Cares" project.

In other news ...

Consider donating to the holiday season fundraiser of SCAN of Iredell, NC, an Exchange Club CAP Center. "Hope & Healing for the Holidays" will provide much needed support for the community and every dollar donated up to $10,000 will be matched!  Text "HOPE" to 704-275-0840 or visit

Congratulations to CASTLE of Ft. Pierce, FL, on raising more than $40,000 at its Holiday Magic Gala, December 1. Hosted at the St. Lucie Golf Trail Clubhouse, the benefit generated funds to support CASTLE programs for the prevention child abuse and neglect through education and awareness.

The Exchange Club Family Support Center of Downey, CA, extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who supported its Giving Tuesday campaign. The one-day event generated a total of $2,180.

 Programs of Service Opportunities
New opportunities for Exchange Clubs, Collegiate Clubs, Excel Clubs, and members to better their communities are always upon us.

Here are a few suggestions to help generate project ideas:

January:
Clubs and members may consider:
  • Visiting a nursing home and reading a book with the residents, talking about topics in the news, playing cards, and bringing joy into their lives!
  • Offering your skills rather than goods. Offer to repaint a community playground, rake leaves, or shovel the snow of a neighbor who is unable to so.
  • Plan ahead for February, National Community Service Month.
February:
is National Community Service Month!
  • Help a school in your community by distributing school lunches, check or grade papers for teachers, help during recess, or help manage a school function.
  • Donate to a local food bank or find out how you can help feed the hungry in your community by visiting FeedingAmerica.org.

Please remember to share p ictures of your club at work with National Headquarters: [email protected] and share on social media with #ExchangeStrong and #ExchangeFit!

For additional information regarding service projects and ideas, please sign in to the Member Resources section of Exchange's website.
