About Breast Cancer      |      Newly Diagnosed      |      Find Help

2018 was a big year for VBCF - we had two big advocacy wins, provided educational materials to every part of the state, participated in a record number of education events, and provided one-on-one support by phone and - new this year, by chat - at www.vbcf.org.

We are proud of everything we were able to accomplish last year - with your support, of course! We are also excited to kick off 2019 with some exciting new projects and hope that you will be with us every step of the way.

Educate. Advocate. Eradicate.

We Need You! Sign up for
State Advocacy Day Today
VBCF is excited to announce that our 2019 State Advocacy Day will be held in partnership with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN)'s " Day at the Capitol " on January 21, 2019

We will join with other cancer advocates to make our voices heard at the General Assembly. No previous advocacy experience is needed. Your personal perspective and passion about ending breast cancer are all you need to help make a difference! Orientation and training will be provided.
Make a Big Impact with a Couple of Clicks!
In 2018 VBCF’s Facebook friends raised nearly $13,000 by hosting fundraisers for their birthdays, milestones, or just because. There are no processing fees on Facebook donations so 100% of gifts go to work helping Virginians facing breast cancer. You can create your own fundraiser in just a couple of clicks. It’s easy and rewarding!
Community Support
Tito’s continues to be a generous community partner.  For the third year, Tito’s matched online donations to VBCF during October up to $10,000. We are truly grateful for this support. This generous matching gift is especially meaningful because Tito's gives it in memory of Donna Kolvacheck, wife of Bob Kolvacheck, VP of Breakthru Beverage distributing company. Donna passed away in 2016.
We were grateful to have a new partnership in 2018 with VA Cars Inc. During their October promotion, they donated $100 for each car they sold that month - for a total of $10,600 to support VBCF!  We are thankful for their generosity!
