Emotional Intelligence - Putting it all Together
Social skills is the final element of Emotional Intelligence – it relies on the three others we covered in earlier blogs . Social skills are how you connect with others and influence them on an emotional level. This becomes especially important when dealing with people you find to be difficult! 

Strategic Problem Solving
A strategic thinker is someone who thinks beyond the day to day, focuses on mission and goals and look at relationships from a stakeholder perspective. (See our last blog for more about this.) One of the key skills of a strategic thinker is problem solving and that’s what we’re going to look at today. A strategic problem solver uses both analytical and intuitive processes. They effectively engage key stakeholders and build buy-in and trust.

What exactly are the T.E.A.M. Communication Styles ®?
When asked to repress the South to completely destroy the Confederacy after the civil war, Abraham Lincoln said… “ Do I not destroy my enemies when I make them my friends?” We have the same thought about making your difficult people go away – when you learn how to connect with them… they no longer become difficult!

We live in a diverse world and the rules by which people communicate are very different and often poorly understood. Our T.E.A.M. Communication Styles® is a model for helping you quickly understand these differences and develop simple strategies to more effectively communicate with others. This model will illuminate what’s really going on when we are having trouble connecting with others (or when they find us difficult!)
