Senior Program Director, Uganda

Location: Hoima, Uganda

The Senior Program Director oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of the ongoing JGI-Uganda country programs, including design, planning, and oversight of program activities. Program roles include: engage in active, ongoing communication with the Executive Director, programs, and finance/operations staff, as well as program partners, as it relates to the promotion of effective programming aimed at the conservation of chimpanzees and their habitats; provide leadership and hands-on management of the development, identification of potential funders, and submission of documentation (narrative, budgets monitoring and evaluation plan, work plan and support letter) and information for incorporation in JGI-Uganda’s response to grant solicitations, among other duties.

Program Manager, Democratic Republic of Congo

Law Enforcement and Conservation Technology Technical Advisor- RoC

Location: Bomassa, Nouabalé--Ndoki National Park HQ, Republic of Congo   

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is seeking a Law Enforcement & Conservation Technology Technical Advisor to support the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park in coordinating law enforcement operations and developing technology solutions geared towards halting the current and future threats facing the Park and its immediate periphery. Working closely with the Park Director and the Head of Anti-Poaching, the primary role of the Technical Advisor is to enhance the effectiveness of these activities through strategic planning, provision of training opportunities and technical assistance, introducing new tools and technology, and ensuring that standard operating procedures are in place.

Location: Botswana

Position Summary: The “Ecosystem-Based Adaptation and Mitigation in Botswana’s Communal Rangelands” Project funded by Green Climate Fund (GCF) will utilize collective management of livestock and ecosystems to restore Botswana’s communal rangelands, increasing the climate resilience of vulnerable populations and reducing Green House Gas (GHG) emissions. Over 8 years, the project will undertake activities in 104 villages in Ngamiland, Kgalagadi, and Bobirwa districts of Botswana targeting improved management of 4.6 million hectares of rangelands.

The Chief of Party is responsible for the leadership and management of this ambitious and pioneering Project. The Chief of Party will provide overall leadership management and oversee technical direction of the project, ensuring an integrated vision among different components and stakeholder and a focus on achieving results.


The Project Delivery Director

Location: Botswana

The Project Delivery Director is a senior position responsible for driving strategic and efficient delivery of this ambitious and pioneering Project. This position provides general management and operational leadership for the implementation of regenerative land and livestock management for climate adaptation and mitigation across the Project target areas.

Manager, Conflict Resolution and Peace

The Conflict Resolution and Peace Manager reports to the Senior Director of Inclusive Partnerships Program and will work closely with the program delivery and finance/operations teams of the new Center for Communities and Conservation (CCC) to advance Conservation International's (CI) environmental peacebuilding goals including the process to become a conflict sensitive organization. The position will, provide strategic guidance to plan and implement new and existing conflict sensitivity and environmental peacebuilding initiatives within CI; deliver technical assistance on peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity issues both within CI and beyond; among other responsibilities.

Finance Associate, Urban Water Resilience Initiative

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The Associate will work with 6 cities in Rwanda, Ethiopia, and South Africa to recommend and develop finance and funding strategies for urban water resilience projects in those geographic contexts. He/she will work closely with the Project Lead and city stakeholders to identify priority projects in each city and conduct the needed research to identify investment opportunities and financing strategies for 1-2 priority urban water initiatives in each city.
