Happy December Laurel Families,

As we step into the joy of December, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our families for helping make November so meaningful. Our students enjoyed a wonderful November and the beginning of the holiday season, filled with classroom gratitude activities and community building.

We are also incredibly proud of the generosity shown during our Family Pantry Food Drive. Thanks to your contributions, our school collected items to support local families in need. Our 5th grade students successfully delivered the donations and experienced an important reminder of the power of kindness and service.

Wishing all our families a bright and cheerful December, and we look forward to seeing you all at our Annual Art & Literature Faire on Wednesday, December 17th!

Green School - Reminders

The Laurel School has been a certified Cape & Island Green School since 2017.

We continue to support this initiative by reducing our energy consumption and costs, cut down on waste in our landfills through recycling and reuse efforts, as well as changed buying practices by switching to environmentally compatible products. All of these actions make an impact on our environment. We ask for your help and support in this when possible by bringing in reusable bags, utensils, water bottles etc. instead of single use items. Thank you all for your consideration and support!

Annual Whole School Event -

Art & Literature Faire on December 17th

Our Art and Literature Faire is the culmination of student process and work on a specific theme we have been working on as a whole school since the beginning of the school year. Our entire school transforms into the theme that we have been exploring as a whole school. Our theme chosen for this year is: "Home: An exploration of life". Teachers and students are exploring this theme and interpreting it through student interests and perspectives by incorporating it within the curriculum.

This beloved school-wide event has been a long tradition here at Laurel. The school transforms and showcases all of the incredible learning that our students have accomplished!
