Happy April Laurel Community,

I would like to begin by saying that I am truly grateful for the support of all current and prospective families who joined us for our annual STEAM Expo last week! It was a spectacular event, showcasing the incredible work of our students and faculty across the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics.

We are also extremely appreciative to everyone who contributed to our bake sale and “Mystery Lunchbox” fundraisers. This spirit of support is just as meaningful as the way our families come together to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our students and teachers.

While we value opportunities to fundraise, we are equally committed to fostering strong, positive connections between school and home. These partnerships not only strengthen relationships but are also essential to student success. When we maintain open communication and collaboration that is grounded in love, kindness, and respect, across all grade levels, it embodies our mission and philosophy.

We always welcome your feedback, ideas, questions, and conversations. Our open-door policy is an important part of maintaining these strong connections. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing a community survey to better understand your experiences. Please keep an eye out—we look forward to hearing from you!

Best,

Amy LaFranchise

Head of School
