Meet with community environmental/ ecological and industry experts to co-create meaningful NGSS-aligned place-based projects for your 3rd-8th grade classroom! Sub reimbursement, mini grants available to educators in participating districts. Don’t miss this chance to connect with changemakers and bring real-world opportunities into your classroom! To promote the importance of Career and Technical Education (CTE), the CTE Student Advisory Council, sponsored by the Oregon Department of Education and the Higher Education Coordinating Commission, is once again hosting the #ThisIsCTE social media campaign during February 2025.

The Youth Preparedness Council (YPC) brings teens together from across the country who are passionate about emergency preparedness and making a difference in their communities. Students will gain professional skills and build new relationships through connections with their local and state emergency management partners. Who Can Apply? Students currently in grades 8-11, who are passionate about preparedness and committed to building more resilient communities.
