September 2024

Dear Sustainable Westport Community,

As we embrace the changing seasons, we are thrilled to share exciting news that reflects the positive momentum we’ve built together over the past months and years.

We are delighted to introduce Gretchen Hoffmann and Kathryn St. Andre, our newest team members, who bring a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our organization.

Gretchen Hoffmann, our Program Manager, is a seasoned communications professional with a deep commitment to sustainability. A Westport resident, Gretchen will work with community partners to develop programming and resources to support our five pillars of sustainability: Community, Building, Energy, Transportation, and Resources/Waste Management.

Joining us as our Development Manager, Kathryn St. Andre seamlessly blends her background in sales and marketing with a passion for environmental advocacy. As a longstanding supporter of Sustainable Westport and a Compo Beach resident, Kathryn is eager to identify and mobilize community support for our initiatives.

Gretchen and Kathryn join our existing team of employees/volunteers who work to support our mission.

This spring, we proudly established the Sustainable Westport Advisory Group, a visionary team of experts and leaders dedicated to driving positive change in our community. With diverse backgrounds and a shared passion for sustainability, our Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance and innovative ideas to propel our mission forward.

The addition of Gretchen, Kathryn, and our Advisory Group marks a significant milestone in our journey. With an expanded team, we are poised to amplify our impact and engage our community in new and meaningful ways. See our call to action below to join our growing list of volunteers!

We look forward to building upon our progress and continuing to inspire, support, and connect all residents, organizations, and the Town of Westport toward a healthier, more sustainable future.

Sincerely,

Gately Ross & Johanna Martell

Co-Directors, Sustainable Westport
