Welcome 10th Grade Cohort!

Building STEPS welcomed the inaugural class of 10th grade students. “We believe starting Building STEPS programming one year earlier will boost college outcomes and ultimately increase the number of students who earn a college degree,” said Debra Hettleman, Building STEPS CEO.

Care Packages Bring a Smile

Freshman year in college can be exciting, challenging, scary and overwhelming. Sending care packages are just one way Building STEPS stays connected to our first-year college students. Assembled by our high school seniors, they are full of supplies, goodies and a personal note of encouragement. Year after year, our students rave about receiving this hello from home.

In honor of Giving Tuesday, on November 30th, we celebrate the gift of giving with our volunteer led event, Tour De Workforce, a career exploration fair for our students.
