Dear Friends,

Spring is in full swing, bringing with it a sense of renewal and opportunity.

We’re gearing up to support local participating Centre Gives nonprofits with the Success Series: Webinars and Workshop. These trainings offer valuable insights for organizations as they prepare their fundraising campaigns for Centre Gives on May 8th and 9th, 2024

Here's what's new:

  • Don't miss your chance to make a bigger impact during Centre Gives through your IRA or by donating appreciated securities by April 26th.

  • Meet one of our outstanding scholarship recipients, Ben Wojciechowski!

  • Join us in welcoming new staff and board members to our team.

  • At our recent staff and board retreat, we engaged in an in-depth review of our Pre-Planning Community Engagement Report for Centre County as part of our strategic planning process.

We're so grateful to have you as part of our giving community. Together, we're making a difference in Centre County!

Unique Ways to Give with Centre Gives
May 8 - 9, 2024

You can maximize your impact by donating to Centre Gives through your IRA or appreciated securities by April 26, 2024.
Give your IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to Centre Gives this year and reduce the taxability of your IRA distribution while stretching your impact on Centre County nonprofit organizations!

  • Centre Gives stretches your gift's impact via a $200,000 stretch pool.
  • The minimum is only $100 per organization.
  • No administrative fees are applied.
  • Checks can be mailed directly to Centre Foundation before the event.

Centre Gives IRA distributions will be accepted until April 26, 2024.
Supercharge your impact by donating appreciated securities—stocks, bonds, and mutual funds—directly to the participating Centre Gives nonprofits you support.

Did you know that compared to cash donations or selling securities and contributing after-tax proceeds, this method may boost your gift and tax deduction potential? By sidestepping capital gains taxes and the Medicare surtax, which could total up to 23.8%, you can amplify your support for your favorite Centre County organizations.

Centre Gives appreciated stock donations will be accepted until April 26, 2024.

Mapping Our Future: Staff & Board Retreat Deep Dives into Community Engagement Report for Strategic Planning

Last month we marked Part 1 of our Staff and Board retreat. We dived deep into the Centre Foundation Pre-Planning Community Engagement Report for Centre County conducted by The Hill Group.

As part of our strategic planning process, Centre Foundation hosted community listening sessions earlier this year to learn how we can better serve Centre County.

Our engagement strategies proved successful. We employed a diverse range of methods to gather insights and perspectives from various community leaders and stakeholders. These inputs are instrumental in shaping our strategic planning process. Interviews, surveys, and focus groups highlighted Centre County's strengths and challenges, paving the way for a brighter future. Stay tuned for Part 2 as we shape our strategic direction with your valuable insights!
