Made New: A Night of Baptisms & Confirmation

There’s something incredibly powerful about watching people publicly declare their faith in Jesus, and our recent Baptism Night was such a beautiful celebration of that very moment. As a church family, we gathered together to celebrate 9 baptisms and reaffirmations. Each one of these individuals represents a story of God’s grace, transformation, and faithfulness. Moments like these remind us that God is still moving, still calling people closer, and still changing hearts every single day.

We are so proud of every individual who took this next step in their faith journey. Choosing to follow Jesus publicly is both courageous and meaningful, and it was a joy to cheer them on as a church community. The excitement in the room was undeniable as families, friends, and church members celebrated together through worship, prayer, and encouragement.

We also want to recognize and celebrate our Confirmation students who have been intentionally learning more about their faith, the church, and what it means to live as disciples of Christ. Confirmation is such an important season of growth, discovery, and spiritual foundation-building, and we are incredibly proud of the effort, curiosity, and dedication these students have shown throughout the process. We will recognize these confirmation students this Sunday, May 10 at the 9:45 service and we hope you'll join us in celebrating this step in their lives!

Seeing both baptisms and confirmation happening within our church is a reminder that faith is active, growing, and generational. Big things are happening at Trinity United Methodist Church, and it is incredible to witness how God is moving in the lives of our church family through these moments of faith, growth, and transformation.

Introducing Everything In Between

A New Podcast from Trinity United Methodist Church

Life rarely happens in the extremes. Most of us live somewhere in the middle — between certainty and questions, joy and heartbreak, faith and doubt. That’s exactly where our new podcast, Everything In Between, begins.

We are excited to officially launch the Everything In Between Podcast on May 21, with new episodes releasing biweekly. Before the first full episode drops, we’ll be sharing a teaser trailer to give you a glimpse into the heart behind these conversations and what’s to come.

Everything In Between is a casual, honest, Jesus-centered podcast created for real people navigating real life. This isn’t a place where we pretend to have all the answers. It’s a place where we can talk openly about faith, relationships, calling, disappointment, hope, culture, Scripture, and the messy middle most of us find ourselves in. Through authentic conversations, laughter, reflection, and encouragement, we hope to create space for people to wrestle with questions while staying grounded in the grace of Christ.

Big things are happening at Trinity United Methodist Church, and we believe God is opening doors for meaningful conversations that reach beyond Sunday mornings and into everyday life.

We can’t wait for you to join us for these conversations that are honest, grace-filled, and centered on Christ through everything in between. Be sure to watch for the teaser trailer coming soon on our social media and Spotify, and mark your calendars for our first episode release on May 21!

AROUND THE CHURCH

The Well @ The Gab - May 14

The adult group is hanging out at The Gab Spot on Thursday, May 14 at 6:00 p.m.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, The Gab Spot is one of Fort Walton Beach’s newer all-in-one entertainment spots. Think bowling lanes, arcade games, axe throwing, a full restaurant and bar, and even gelato, all under one roof.

For this night, we’ll hangout in a spot that makes it easy to relax and have a good time. Expect a laid-back atmosphere, easy conversation, and a chance to connect with people from church in a setting that feels more like “fun night out” than anything planned or formal.

Come as you are, stay as long as you want, and enjoy a simple night of community in a place built for exactly that kind of thing.

Friday Night Bible Study - May 14

If you’ve been looking for a Bible study on a different night of the week, or just something intentional to do on a Friday night, this new Friday Night Bible Study starts May 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the TSM Worship Space, led by Connor Nowikowski. This bible study is open to all that are interested. We’ll begin in the book of Job, leaning into honest conversations about faith, life, and trusting God in the middle of it all.

The OAKS Spring Bingo - May 19

Celebrate the season with a relaxed and cheerful Spring Bingo gathering on Tuesday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. This is a great chance to enjoy some lighthearted fun, share a few laughs, and spend time with friends old and new.

We’ll have some light refreshments, easy-to-play bingo, and a few small prizes, to keep things festive. Whether you’re a seasoned bingo pro or just in it for the conversation, there’s a seat at the table for you.

TRINITY KIDS

Root Kids in a Relationship with God

Summer is quickly approaching, which means it’s time to plan for our annual Vacation Bible School! We’re excited to partner with First & Mary Esther UMC for this year’s adventure: Rainforest Falls.

VBS will take place June 22–26 from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church (103 First Street, FWB, FL 32548) and is open to children entering kindergarten through 5th grade. Registration is now open!

Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a life-long adventure, discovering the nature of God, and exploring what it means to be rooted in relationship with their creator, a safe place in life’s storms.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help bring this incredible week to life. Whether you enjoy leading worship, guiding small groups, helping with crafts, serving snacks, or simply offering a welcoming presence, there’s a place for you. VBS is one of the most impactful weeks of the year, and it takes a whole community to make it happen.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of something meaningful—register your child or sign up to volunteer today!

STUDENT MINISTRY

The Class of 2026 is something special! Don’t miss Seniors Speak Night on May 13 at Midweek as our seniors share their stories, wisdom, and heart with their TSM family. May 17 at the 9:45am service we will honor our class of 2026 followed by a reception for them and their families. Seniors if you haven't turned in your requirements for senior sunday please contact Melissa as soon as possible.

ARM - June 7 - 12

We are excited to return to ARM for our 20th year! Thank you to our church family for their incredible support at Hotdog Heaven. If you attended Hotdog Heaven and plan to attend ARM, the remaining balance of $75 is due by May 17.

There will be an ARM meeting on May 17 at 4:00 PM in the Student Worship Room to distribute forms and begin our pre-mission Bible study. Day Camp team members: please contact Melissa for planning days.

Oakwood - June 29 - July 3

You don’t want to miss a week of growing closer to God, worshipping, building friendships, playing games, and having an intentional opportunity to unplug from the world.

Oakwood Summer Camp has been purposefully scheduled around most summer sports so students don’t have to choose between commitments or worry about transportation conflicts. This year’s theme is Kingdom—think safari adventure, animals, and inspiration from Steve and Robert Irwin—as we explore what it means to live and be active in God’s Kingdom. Our scripture for the week is Colossians 1:13–14, reminding us that God has rescued us from darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His Son, offering redemption and forgiveness of sins.

Camp cost is $275, with a $75 deposit due by May 28 and the final payment due June 17. This trip is for students entering 7th grade through exiting 12th grade.
