Greetings!

Our namesake Maria L. Baldwin was born on this day in 1856. In all our work, we hope to honor her legacy, whether it's nurturing lifelong creativity and learning or fostering an equitable environment for everyone we serve. On her birthday, we like to reflect on her remarkable life as an educator and civic leader, and on her enduring influence - not only to our small community center but to the Baldwin neighborhood and beyond.

As you may already know, we changed our name to the Maria L. Baldwin Community Center in 2022. Since then, we've been engaged in a process to update our branding to not only reflect this name change but also better communicate our mission and all the different work we do as an organization.

Today, we are proud to finally share with you our new logo, designed by Gill Fishman Design:

In the coming months, we'll be debuting our new branding look, as well as a brand new website. In all this change, we will continue to be a community center that provides high-quality programs for all ages, and are more committed than ever to our values of welcoming, empowering, collaborating, and creating joy.

We know change can take time to get used to, so we are deeply grateful for your support as we enter this new chapter and update you on these exciting changes.
