Meet NASW-WI's Fall Interns

Ellaina Ontiberoz

Hello Everyone! My name is Ellaina Ontiberoz. I was born in Wisconsin, raised in North Carolina, and recently moved back from sunny Florida. I’m currently finishing my first year in the Master of Social Work program at Louisiana State University–Online. Before transitioning into social work, I served six years in the United States Air Force, where I first discovered my passion for policy. Since then, I’ve become a strong advocate for ensuring that policy uplifts underrepresented communities, creates awareness among allies, and drives meaningful institutional change within our democracy. Through this program, I look forward to sharpening my political skill set and strengthening my voice to better advocate for clients and the profession of social work. On a personal note, I’m a proud mom of two little ones who keep me both busy and entertained. I love relaxing on the beach or, these days, on my back porch here in Wisconsin, reading a good book and enjoying my favorite guilty pleasure snack: Taco Bell!

Rachelle Ochs-Huish

My name is Rachelle Ochs-Huish. I was born in and spent much of my life in Wisconsin. I received my BS in psychology in Texas. I am currently in my final year of working toward my MSW from Concordia University-Wisconsin. My prior internship included case management. I am currently employed at a secure mental health facility. After spending the majority of my career in individual or small group settings, I recognize how vital working to effect change on a broader stage truly is. In my downtime, I like to spend time reading, biking, hiking, attending comedy shows and concerts, and playing video games with my husband.
