| | TFHC Named Sapphire Awards Finalist for Advancing Community Health | | | | | |
We’re honored to announce that Tampa Family Health Centers has been named a 2025 Florida Blue Foundation Sapphire Awards Finalist in the Organization category.
This prestigious recognition celebrates organizations making measurable impacts on health outcomes across Florida—and TFHC is proud to be among them.
For decades, our mission has been rooted in community. From expanding access to care, to launching innovative programs that meet people where they are, we’ve never stopped believing in the power of accessible, compassionate healthcare. This honor reflects the dedication of our team and the trust of our patients—and we’re just getting started.
| | | Wellness, Resources & Community Connection—All in One Spring Day! | | | TFHC welcomed spring with joy, movement, and meaningful moments during our Spring Into Wellness Community Event at our TFHC Nebraska location! With face painting, hula hoops, and a surprise visit from Dr. Patches, it was a family affair to remember. Over 100 community members joined in the fun, 5,300 pounds of documents were safely shredded thanks to our partners at AARP Tampa Bay, and families enjoyed everything from yoga and garden classes to fluffy rabbits and Easter eggs. A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors for helping us make wellness fun, free, and full of community spirit and resources. | | More Time, More Access: TFHC Extends Hours to Better Serve You | | | | | |
Big news for access to care!
Tampa Family Health Centers received a $500,000 investment from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to expand hours of operation at several locations. With earlier mornings, later evenings, and more flexible scheduling, TFHC is making it easier for families to get care when they need it most.
| | TFHC’s Sherry Hoback Named Women Who Win Finalist! | We’re celebrating a special moment of recognition at Tampa Family Health Centers! Our very own President, Nurse & CEO, Sherry Hoback, has been named a finalist for the 2025 Women Who Win Award by Tampa Bay Business & Wealth Magazine. This honor highlights Sherry’s leadership and the collective commitment of TFHC to making high-quality, accessible healthcare a reality for all. | | | From Game Day to Giving Back: Meet Our TFHC Ambassador | | | | | |
TFHC just added a powerhouse to the team! We’re proud to welcome NFL wide receiver—and Tampa native—Ray-Ray McCloud III of the Atlanta Falcons as our newest TFHC Ambassador.
Through his RMIII Foundation, Ray-Ray has been a fierce advocate for children with learning challenges like ADHD and recently spotlighted TFHC during the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign.
| | Now, he’s joining our mission to advance mental health awareness and community care across the Tampa Bay area. | | Education in Action: Honoring Our Third Graduating Class | | | | | The Education Institute of Tampa Family recently celebrated its third graduating class, honoring a dedicated group of Medical Assistants, Medical Billing & Coding Specialists, and Pharmacy Technicians who are now prepared to step confidently into healthcare careers. These graduates represent more than personal achievement—they reflect TFHC’s mission to | | |
empower individuals, strengthen the workforce, and uplift our community through education and opportunity.
A heartfelt thank-you to Maritza Torres, APRN NP-C, TFHC’s Vice President of Medical Affairs, for delivering a powerful keynote that reminded us all why investing in community health starts with investing in people.
