Parenting Class Spotlight:

Learn how to smooth out bedtime struggles with young children. Join Parent Educator Laura Nattinger this month to learn strategies for helping little ones through this challenging phase.

The Smart Beginnings workshop takes place at 6:30 on Tuesday, August 4th on Zoom.

This is a class for parents. Childcare providers are welcome to join, but the strategies presented will be directed toward the home setting and not the classroom.

We’re excited to welcome back our GED program this fall! Whether you’re continuing your studies or just getting started, we’d love to have you join us.

Mom's Rising Circle

July Event Recap

The Mom's Rising Circle held a family picnic potluck at the Georgetown Project Main Office.

Events are hosted as part of the Bridges to Growth Mommie Support Network, overseen by facilitator Andrea Fallas. Mom's Rising Circle provides support groups that create a safe, non-judgmental space where mothers who may feel isolated and overwhelmed can share their experiences, receive guidance, and form lasting bonds with women who truly understand their challenges. Hygiene Closet & Food Pantry Update

As we near the mid-point of our summer vacations, we are already looking toward restocking our supplies here at the NEST.

The following are the "Needs" we would love help with moving into the 2026-27 school year:

Trash Bags (13-gallon)

Paper towels

Cutlery (plastic)

The Buzz at Bridges to Growth

Fun Summer Activities with Students & Families

A big THANK YOU to the Georgetown Police Department for welcoming our Bridges to Growth families for an amazing tour of the GPD Police Station!

Our kids (ages 5–14) and their parents/caregivers had a wonderful time meeting police officers, exploring the station, and getting an up-close look at the police training course. Experiences like these help build trust, answer questions, and create meaningful connections between our families and the people who serve our community.

We appreciate the Georgetown Police Department for taking the time to make this visit educational, engaging, and fun. Thank you for investing in our youth and helping create positive experiences that will last a lifetime!

This month, our students in our Stay and Play program got to get a little messy.

Playing with shaving cream is essential for preschoolers because it provides crucial sensory integration, develops fine motor skills, and encourages emotional regulation. This accessible foam offers a low-pressure way for children to explore tactile input, practice early writing strokes, and safely engage in messy play.

Families got up close with exotic animals at our "Go Wild!" event, presented with Wild Things ZOOfari at Bridges to Growth in the Carver Center for Families. Kids and caregivers learned about animal conservation and behavior through hands-on, unforgettable experiences.

Save the date for Evergreen Extravaganza

The Evergreen Extravaganza is a new holiday event coming to Georgetown!

Mark your calendars for Friday, November 28, 2026 from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center for an evening of holiday magic!

This year's Festival of Trees will feature 20–30 stunningly decorated trees and wreaths, hand-designed by members of our incredible community, including local non-profits, individuals, and businesses. All will be up for auction!

Every bid helps support the programs and mission of The Georgetown Project, along with the Williamson County Museum. Come sip, shop, and celebrate the season while making a real difference for local kids, youth, and families.
