Fall Festival October 25

The City of Punta Gorda, the Punta Gorda Charlotte Library, and TEAM's Outreach Committee invite everyone to a "wicked good time" at this free, family-friendly celebration Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the PG Library, 401 Shreve Street. Expect food, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, games and lots of smiles and photo opportunities.

Let's Freewheel About Town

Fall is a perfect time to explore Punta Gorda's pathways. In partnership with the City, TEAM offers first-come-first served loaner bikes at four area locations: Four Points Sheraton Harborside, Springhill Suites, Fresco’s Coffee Shop and the Military Heritage Museum. We are proud to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act by providing a hand bike.

Restoration of Calostimucu

A Punta Gorda Landmark

Calostimucu is the 10th "Whispering Giant" carved by noted sculpture Peter Toth to honor the indigenous people who originally populated Florida. It shares the Freeman House property on W. Retta Esplande at the US 41 southbound entrance to the City of Punta Gorda. The years have taken a toll on this historic landmark. Recently, a group of concerned citizens have undertaken the restoration of this landmark. According to the group’s spokesperson, Charlie Noble, "We are partnered with TEAM Punta Gorda, a 501(c)3 non-profit, to facilitate the collection of donations. Donations collected will be specifically for the statue's preservation, restoration and celebration.”
