Like many of you, CAREERS is working hard to adapt to the challenges of operating during a pandemic. Yes, many of our internships and upcoming events have been cancelled, but we will continue to move forward, providing opportunities to youth where we can during this temporary situation. Team members across the province are available to answer your questions and help you plan ahead, so that when things return to normal, we all come back stronger than ever before.

Please take a few minutes to check out some of our exciting updates!
We are thrilled to announce the Health Sciences CAREERS Academy is going virtual this August. For the first time ever, students will get the opportunity to participate in an online environment, exploring a variety of in-demand careers and meeting health care professionals from across the province. Registration opens soon and will be available at the link below.
When CAREERS' team members and supporters join forces for a good cause, amazing things happen! In just two days, $4900 was raised and over 3000 pounds of food and supplies were collected and delivered to flood ravaged communities to the north. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, especially with the added challenge of social distancing. Check out the highlights!

Keep an eye out for these three! Jonan, Jack and Chevie-Lee will be this summer's Indigenous student career coaches. They'll be working in communities across the province as mentors, providing youth with skills and knowledge to be successful in the work place. Stay tuned for some amazing success stories!
The “The Eric Newell ‘Kidz in Careers’ Golf Classic may be cancelled, but there's another way you can use the game to make your support go further.
By donating through a program called Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink before August 30th, YOUR DONATION WILL BE MATCHED BY UP TO 50%!
The program was created under the Calgary Shaw Charity Golf Classic to benefit a number of charities across Alberta including CAREERS.
With the loss of our biggest fundraiser of the year, your support will go a long way towards helping us provide career awareness, exploration, and experience for Alberta youth.
Note: In the event the tournament gets cancelled, the campaign will still go ahead.
  • CAREERS offices across the province remain closed until further notice.
  • Out of respect to the over-burdened health care system, all health internships will be cancelled until September.
