Exciting Transitions for the ACPE Office Team
After almost 20 years, ACPE’s Director of Communications and Technology John Roch announced that he accepted a position at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s Division of HIV Prevention in the Office of Policy, Planning, Partnerships, and Communications.

John said, “When I began my first day of work on March 8, 2004, I couldn’t imagine that ACPE would be anything more than a job. I certainly never thought I would work for the association for almost two decades! I never took a unit of CPE, but ACPE transformed me. I cannot find the words to express my gratitude for the opportunities, learning, and relationships I experienced because of ACPE. While I am thrilled to begin a career in public health and hope to continue positively affecting people’s lives, it is hard to imagine my life without ACPE. You will continue in my thoughts and remain in my heart.”

ACPE congratulates John and wishes him great success as he continues to do his best to live an impactful life. “For many of us, it is hard to imagine ACPE without the leadership and service of John Roch,” said ACPE Executive Director Trace Haythorn. “In 2004, ACPE was a different organization, and a young man came to work for us in what has become a career-defining position. Since 2013, John has received recognition as a Certified Association Executive, completed his master’s degree in communications through Gonzaga University, and served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Society of Association Executives. He has served with the ACPE Board of Directors, the Leadership Development Committee, the conference planning committee, and, most recently, the Psychotherapy Commission. We will miss him greatly!”
ACPE is also delighted to announce Tiffany Kindred’s promotion to Director of Communications. Tiffany joined ACPE in January 2017 and quickly became an invaluable team member and leader. During her time with ACPE, Tiffany managed publication and website redesigns, coordinated the implementation of Communities of Practice and new conferencing models, and pursued continuing education. Tiffany will earn her Master’s in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University in December 2022. “In so many ways, Tiffany is already a leader in our office,” said Haythorn. “This feels like a logical and well-deserved next step.”

“I am exceedingly grateful and excited for this new opportunity,” Kindred said. “John has been an incredible mentor for nearly six years, and I will miss working side by side with him each day.”

John will complete his service during the first couple weeks of November. Please join us in congratulating John and Tiffany on their significant achievements.
