These indexes not only raise awareness of available life-affirming assistance for women and children throughout New York State, but serve to help alleviate root causes of publicly sanctioned lethal violence, including abortion. Adoption: An Act of Great Love
Feminists Choosing Life of New York’s Adoption Resource Index contains information on adoption in NY for prospective birth mothers and adoptive parents, as well as a list of NY adoption agencies and NY Department of Social Services (DSS) offices across New York State.
Our adoption directory outlines services and benefits available to prospective birth mothers that are not involved with the foster care system or DSS. It also highlights basic services and benefits for prospective adoptive parents of children either inside or outside of the foster care system.

About 18,000 babies in the US are voluntarily placed for domestic infant adoption yearly and each one of them is adopted. An estimated 2 million couples in the US await an infant child to adopt, but only 4% of women in the US with unplanned pregnancies place their children for adoption. | |

Unfortunately, adoption is infrequently presented as an option for women facing unplanned pregnancies. Planned Parenthood offers only one adoption referral for every 81 abortions.
Sadly, approximately 117,000 children await adoption from the foster care system, the overwhelming majority of which are older children. These children are awaiting parents to give them a loving home.
These staggering numbers demonstrate the need for more available information and resources to break the stigma surrounding adoption, and to help prospective birth mothers and adoptive parents courageously enter the adoption process.

We embrace all stages of human life; in utero, infancy, adolescence and adulthood. Our index provides birth mothers with information needed to make the powerful choice of adoption. It also provides potential adoptive parents tools for adopting children from infancy to adolescence. | | |

Feminists Choosing Life of New York’s Bread & Bed Resource Index contains a listing of nutrition and lodging resources across New York State, with links and contact information for food pantries, soup kitchens, family and women’s shelters, maternity homes (for pregnant women with or without infant children) as well as affordable and transitional housing opportunities.
Recurrent themes in all studies which examine why women seek abortion, are limitations in resources, financial restraints and a lack of familial support. Many women who choose abortion are overwhelmingly driven to abortion because of social reasons, not because their unborn child poses a threat to their physical lives or health. The public perception that elective abortion is a medical need diverts attention and resources away from the real needs of women and thus perpetuates the cycle of poverty and violence, including abortion.

As a pro-life feminist organization, FCLNY seeks to inform the public of the drivers of publicly sanctioned lethal violence, including abortion. We seek to dispel confusion and counter the narrative that fuels abortion and other forms of violence, in NY. Every mother needs support throughout her pregnancy. Every child needs support while growing up.

the essential resources that every human deserves.

FCLNY's Survivors of DVAST Resource Index | |
Feminists Choosing Life of New York's Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sex Trafficking (DVAST) Index contains a list of domestic violence and human trafficking resources across New York State, with links and contact information. Each of the organizations listed provide one or more of the following services: counseling, legal aid, shelter, case management, support groups, referrals and other support for domestic violence or human trafficking survivors. Domestic violence resources are further divided into those that offer shelter/housing and those that do not. | |

As a pro-life feminist organization, FCLNY seeks to raise awareness of available services that help victims and survivors of violence break through cycles of abuse, and heal. Domestic violence and human trafficking, in particular sex trafficking, are root causes of abortion. Data reveals that a
size-able portion of victims of domestic violence and/or sex trafficking experience coerced abortions. FCLNY aims to educate on
and help address root causes of violence, including abortion,
and the myriad of issues that result from trauma.

Feminists Choosing Life of New York's Pregnancy Resource Centers Index contains a listing with links and contact information for Pregnancy Resource Centers throughout New York State.
Services provided by Pregnancy Resource Centers may include:
- Essential supplies including infant and children’s car seats and clothing, new cribs, bassinets, strollers, toys, baby baths, youth beds, blankets, maternity clothes, diapers, wipes, and infant formula
- Referrals to vital social services including affordable housing, employment opportunities, WIC and food stamps
- Parenting classes which may include labor and delivery preparation, information regarding effective parenting techniques as well as instruction on how to build and sustain healthy inter-parental relationships
- Prenatal and postnatal information on infant and mother nutrition, including breastfeeding
- Domestic and intimate partner violence support service referrals
- Family and individual mental health counseling referrals

As a pro-life feminist organization FCLNY takes seriously the need
to support women and children experiencing hardship. Facing an unplanned pregnancy can be extraordinarily difficult,
especially for women with few resources and support.
