GIS Team Update: Driving Results and Delivering Value in 2024

By: Mike Gerhold

As 2024 progresses, our GIS team has been hard at work, achieving remarkable milestones to support our clients’ mapping needs. So far, we’ve successfully mapped over 16,000 parcels this year, reflecting our dedication to precision and efficiency.

The Texas MAP (Method and Assistance Program) reviews continue to grow more demanding, but our team is rising to the challenge. In addition to processing changes from corrections, deeds, and plats, we’re going a step further to provide our GIS clients with something invaluable: an Excel sheet detailing any unmapped Real accounts.

This excel sheet gives our clients actionable insights into parcels that are not yet mapped, enabling them to research and address gaps. This proactive approach not only supports compliance but also helps counties improve their GIS mapping completeness, making it easier to meet and exceed MAP requirements.

Our team’s expertise and commitment to client success have made this resource an indispensable tool, offering value in the world of GIS mapping. We are proud to deliver results that help your county stay ahead of the curve.

If your county is looking for ways to enhance its GIS services and mapping accuracy, our team is here to assist! Let us help you reach your goals with tailored solutions and unparalleled expertise.

Turning Challenges into Milestones: What’s Next for Client Services

By: Mark Tesreau

In 2024, our Client Services team transformed unforeseen challenges into opportunities, turning adversity into a year of growth and enhanced service for you.

Adapting to significant changes was no easy feat, but the team’s unwavering determination, resilience, and ongoing commitment to refining our internal processes drove remarkable progress. By Q4, we achieved the shortest response times by quarter recorded at Harris Govern since we began tracking this metric seven years ago.

The team’s achievements didn’t end with improved response times. In addition, our dedicated analysts, systems specialists, and developers:

·     Resolved 96.7% of 16,601 support tickets opened in 2024.

·     Resolved 94.5% of 18,399 total tickets opened in 2024.

·     Improved average resolution time from 8 days in 2023 to 7 days in 2024.

While we’re proud of these accomplishments, the pursuit of excellence never ends. To build on this success, we’ve outlined several key initiatives for 2025 that aim to enhance your experience even further:

  • Faster Response Times: Continuing to improve response times to minimize disruption and better meet your needs.
  • Team Expansion: Hiring additional support analysts to boost capacity and ensure faster resolutions.
  • Knowledge Base Reorganization Initiative: Adding more content, consolidating resources, and improving searchability to empower you with quick access to answers.
  • Enhanced Collaboration with R&D: Strengthening communication to address escalations and deliver solutions for your most pressing needs.
  • AI Investments: Leveraging advanced tools to provide accurate and timely solutions tailored to your requirements.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. As we look to the future, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering the excellence you deserve. We look forward to sharing exciting updates and connecting with you at the 2025 Harris Govern Training Conference this March.
