Building the Future of Greenfield's Outdoor Spaces

We are thrilled to share updates on the Greenfield Outdoor Spaces Project! As you know, this initiative is transforming our playgrounds and outdoor areas into vibrant, safe, and sustainable spaces for our students and community. Here’s what’s been happening:

  • Community Input: Over the past two months, we’ve held 15 focus groups and interviews and received more than 500 survey responses. Extensive feedback has been gathered from parents, students, Dr. Lazar, the district, and the HSA Board.

  • Conceptual Designs: A team of landscape architects (including Megan Born and Josh Ketchum, two Greenfield parents) developed three design concepts based on this input. These designs were refined after discussions with parents, students, and district representatives.

  • Draft Design Ready: Using all the feedback, a single draft design has been created. It incorporates key features to enhance safety, play, and sustainability while reflecting our community’s needs and priorities.

Join Us to Shape the Future

We’re excited to share the draft design with you and gather more input at a community meeting:
