February 12, 2019

It is going to be an exciting weekend in Gainesville! First, Jungle Friends will have a booth at VegFest Gainesville this Saturday, February 16, 2019. Every year, this event is a celebration of a healthy, sustainable and compassionate way of life. And, it is a wonderful opportunity to taste delicious vegan food. Sara and I will be on hand to visit with all of our wonderful supporters, so please stop by.

My good friends Jenny Brown and Dawn Moncrief will be keynote speakers at VegFest. Dawn, Founder and President of A Well Fed World will be speaking on the theme: Plant-based Diet: a Cure for Global Hunger? Jenny, Co-Founder of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, will give a speech entitled: More than Meats the Eye.

A Prayer for Compassion

On Sunday, February 17, I will be attending a screening of Thomas Wade Jackson's enlightening documentary A Prayer For  Compassion. The screening is a part of the Cinema Verde International Film and Arts Festival at the Hippodrome State Theater in Gainesville at 12:20 pm. Jungle Friends is featured in this moving film, so I will be on hand for a Question and Answer session after the screening.

If you are in the New York City area, Main Street Vegan's Victoria Moran will be hosting the official World Premiere of A Prayer for Compassion in New York on March 5. I will also be at the premiere in New York, so please join me if you are in the Big Apple.

Do not miss out on these two wonderful events! I hope to see you there!
