Historic $1 Million Gift to Tri-County!
62 more children started this school year at safe, quality schools due to a very significant gift from an anonymous Tri-County benefactor.

The balance of the donation will be invested in order to continue funding dozens more students each year going forward.

"We are extremely grateful for this remarkable gift. It will allow Tri-County to help even more financially needy K-8 and high school students for many years to come," remarked Rick DeBel, Tri-County Chair.

Below are photos of just a few of our 62 new, grateful scholarship students!
Scholarship Update - 2018/2018 School Year
Tri-County is pleased to report that though the generosity of our donors we were able to provide scholarships for a total of 445 K-12th grade students for the 2018-2019 school year.

       255 Kindergarten – 8th grade students
       190 High School students

That’s a wonderful increase over the total of 340 children we were able to help for the prior school year.
Thank you to all Tri-County supporters!

Please keep in mind that we have another 2,000 equally deserving and financially needy children remaining on the scholarship waiting list. So our work is not done!

Tri-County Graduates Excel at Prestigious Summer Internships
Joshua Guardia
Tri-County graduate, Joshua Guardia, worked for Pfizer. According to Kristen Laursen, Manager of the Pfizer Internal Medicine Business Unit in which Joshua worked, “Joshua spent the summer on two core projects for a new product we are bringing to market – researching case studies of companies with exceptional product distribution practices to help support our launch planning, and pulling together a training curriculum for new members of the team. In both cases, he helped us advance key efforts that our lean team would not have had a chance to accomplish without him. It was great to have him on the team!”
Joshua is continuing his graduate studies at Rutgers University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with future aspirations to matriculate into medical school.
Marc Adee, Chairman and CEO of Crum and Forster, congratulates Tri-County grad Manny Lopez
Manny Lopez was hired for the special summer rotation program at Crum and Forster Insurance. " The paid summer internship with Crum and Forster was one of the most incredible opportunities of my life. My rotational position allowed me to attend meetings with important executives, networking events with interns from other companies, and information session with lawyers from all over the country. Through this experience, I was able to learn so much about the insurance industry and met with nearly 17 different departments within Crum. I learned a great deal from the people I shadowed. Thank you to Crum and Forster for this outstanding opportunity."
Jennifer Amaya
Jennifer Amaya was hired for a summer internship at Chubb, in the Personal Risk Services area, on the Auto/Recreational Marine/Excess team. Jennifer’s internship was a great match with her college studies and career aspirations, as she is studying Actuarial Science at St. John's University, NY, in the class of 2020.
Said Jennifer,  “The internship challenged me way more than I expected, reporting directly to the VP of my team. My project was so rewarding. I was able to do work that truly helped my team, and I think Chubb as a whole. If it wasn't for Tri-County I would not have known about, or have been considered for this amazing opportunity. Thank you Tri-County, and Chubb!”

Our Purpose
Each year Tri-County awards 400+ partial, K-12th grade scholarships to children of financially needy New Jersey parents who yearn and work hard to send their children to safer, better, values-based schools. But each year we have another 2,000 equally deserving children remaining on our scholarship waiting list. If you would like to help one of these children off the waiting list and into a better, safer school
Thank you for helping to make a difference for a New Jersey child.
