Join student projects and have interesting online discussions!
Our students, Global Business majors studying at Showa Women's University in Tokyo, Japan, are embarking on semester-long business projects.

Each group has a cross cultural learning objective, as well as a business twist.

An essential part of their project is discussions and feedback from people in the US.

We hope you can join one of the projects below.

FAQs
  • Can I join more than 1 group?
  • You can join more than 1 project, but please check the meeting dates and times and make sure they do not overlap.
  • I am not currently in the US, can I join?
  • If you are in a country other than the US you can join, please be mindful of your time difference. We would rather not have people living in Japan participate, to provide the students with a perspective from outside of Japan.
  • I am Japanese-American can I join?
  • We welcome Japanese-Americans to join; you would potentially have insight into both cultures that would be beneficial for students.
  • I am a high school student, can I join?
  • Unless a project has listed a specific age participation criteria we will accept high school students and above to participate. We ask that regardless of age, participants are responsible and attend the session(s) required and respectful to the students and their project topic.
  • Can I join with my family?
  • Depending on the age of any family members interested in joining, we trust you to use your discretion.
  • What do I do if I join, but I need to cancel a session?
  • After you are selected, a staff consultant for the project will contact you, provide you with more information such as the zoom link and their contact information if you need to cancel.
  • Why are these meetings so late at night?
  • Our students are scheduled to work on these projects during their school day at 11:30am, which is 10:30pm EST.
