LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL

Welcome Home had the honor and privilege to team up with the Missouri Senate for "The 31st Annual Senate Bowling Tournament" in Jefferson City. They collectively raised $10,000 to support Welcome Home's mission and programs. Thank you to everyone who got involved; including MO Senators, administrators, sponsors, and participants! We're humbled and grateful that our state leaders believe so deeply in the vision to end Veteran homelessness. What a great way to kick-off 2019 fundraising efforts!

LIVES CHANGED THROUGH EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT

A key part of our mission, beyond housing, is to help Veterans get back into the workforce and find meaningful employment with our "VETS Work" program. Through direct training, collaborations, job fairs, in-house curriculum and thoughtful strategies, we provide long-term support to help Veterans identify and maintain employment.  Since "VETS Work" launched in late, Welcome Home has enrolled more than 90 Veterans in the program and more than 52 Veterans have gained employment!

VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT

Meet Brenda, Martha, Steve, and Tiff, dear friends and volunteers! These incredible patriots travel to Columbia several times a month to prepare and serve meals for our Veterans and their families! We appreciate their heartfelt compassion while serving our Veterans. Brenda, owner of Skyline Cafe, Ashland, MO, also raises funds at her restaurant throughout the year. We couldn't fulfill this mission without wonderful volunteers like Brenda and her crew! On behalf of Welcome Home, our Veterans, and their families - WE SALUTE YOU!
