Do you want to boost your physical fitness but need help getting started?

If you are not meeting the CDC's recommended activity guidelines — which suggest at least 150 minutes of aerobic activity and at least two days of muscle-strengthening activities each week—then our EIM program is here to help!

We offer students who want to meet these guidelines three fee-offset personal training sessions. During these sessions, a certified fitness professional will listen to your interests and goals and tailor an activity plan that works for you.

Complete this form to sign up. Our Fitness Program Coordinator will contact you to schedule your sessions.

Whether you're new to exercise or looking to improve your workouts, our program is designed to support you.

Let's work together to help you reach your fitness goals!

Health Coach Corner: Goal-Setting & Prioritization Tips

Marilyn de la Cruz, MSW

EIM-OC Health Coach

When we set an intention for a new exercise-based goal, we’ve already identified something we want or a change we wish to see.

Prioritization remains an elusive skill for many of us. Just because something feels important or we really want it, doesn’t mean it actually has real priority in our day-to-day lives.

Take a moment to think about your daily experience. How do you decide what your top priority is? How often do you decide ahead of time what you are going to work on? Do you have a framework for understanding what should be a priority?

You can begin by assigning priority to the already existing activities in your life, by sorting them into three categories: “must do”, “should do”, “would be nice to do”. When we assign priority to a goal, the goal becomes even more attainable, because we can then move forward with designing a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule that reflects the commitment necessary to achieve the goal.

This is a snapshot of how to begin to prioritize exercise in your day-to-day life. Meet with an EIM-OC Health Coach to receive one-on-one support for goal-setting and prioritizing your health and wellness goals.
