Sit or sit-to-stand on an incline may be used to strengthen the Achilles complex. By placing the hind limbs on an incline, the angle at the tarsus allows the muscle to strengthen through a portion of the range of motion instead of the full range of motion. This exercise may be completed in a customized orthotic which will provide additional range of motion control to prevent excessive stretching and strain on the healing tendon.
