We hope y'all are safe and warm during this historic weather event. We are currently closed and aim to reopen on Tuesday, February 23rd. The cold came during an exhibit transition and has caused delays. You'll be able to see our next exhibit 'Found' on Friday, February 26. Thank you for your understanding.
'Found' presents recent artworks by three area artists. Each artist relies on random discovery and found materials as a starting point. Valerie Chaussonnet recuts recovered industrial scrap steel, then forges and welds stylized busts, landscapes, and abstract sculptures. Scott Rolfe is an assemblage artist whose narrative relief sculptures and shadow boxes are composed primarily of reclaimed vintage household furnishings. Jason Webb faithfully uses acrylics to portray abandoned trash piles left at the curb for bulk collection.
