Dear all

I wanted to write briefly to thank you all for your support in promoting the 'Visit Exmoor Later' message in support of the Governments guidelines for people to stay home and stay safe.

Of course we would usually be gearing up to offer a very warm welcome to visitors over the Easter weekend, showcasing all that Exmoor has to offer. We are very aware of the huge challenges faced by many tourism businesses and partner organisations at this time.

Grants and Rate relief
We understand the application process for grants via North Devon Council will be open later today, whilst the process for Somerset West and Taunton businesses is already open. This is for those eligible for the retail, hospitality and leisure grants for businesses that have been granted rate relief this year (you should have received a letter if you qualify. If you feel you are eligible and have not been notified please follow this up with the District Councils directly). You can find up to date information from Somerset West and Taunton Council here and North Devon Council here.

Other support
Details of the various business support measures announced by Government can be found here. These include the staff retention scheme offering 80% of wages to staff furloughed, and a similar scheme for the self employed, loans and sick pay rebates amongst others.
