|Columbus Region Canada Trade Mission
Columbus 2020 is looking for Fairfield County businesses to join them on a customized, multi-sector trade mission to Canada Jun 4 - 9, 2017. This mission is open to all Columbus Region companies looking to establish and/or expand their exports in Canada.
Canada is Ohio's largest export market. Merchandise exports to Canada from Ohio reached over $19 billion in 2016, which represents about 39% of total Ohio exports. Additionally, Canada consumed over $57 billion of U.S. service exports in 2015.Since the inception of NAFTA in 1994 U.S. exports to Canada have increased by over 175%.
Canada is a ripe, developed market with over $1.8 trillion in GDP and a growing population and economy. Toronto and Montréal are the 4th and 19th largest metros in North America and growing, providing ample opportunity to Fairfield County companies to grow their exports in the Canadian marketplace.

Once you register to participate, the State of Ohio's Canada office will schedule a phone call with you to better understand your needs and motivation. They will then do the market research, perform match-making for you, and schedule customized business appointments with potential customers and partners at no additional cost to you. Plus, eligible companies may receive up to 50% reimbursement on registration fees, flights and hotel costs via the IMAGE grant.
